Birding in Anavilhanas' Islands and surrounding area, such
as the Ariau and Cuieiras rivers, Amazonas it is an unforgettable experience.
It is an Archipelago about 100km from Manaus - Amazonas (Brazil). Anavilhanas
is one of the biggest river archipelagos of the world, situated further
downstream on the Negro River. It has an area of 350,018 hectares in the
northeastern part of Amazonas on the Negro River between Novo Airão
and Manaus cities. The archipelago is uninhabited and accessible only by
river. In the winter, during the full season, many islands are totally or
partially inundated. It is an exciting Bird watching Trip. We will leave
from Manaus, sailing on the Negro river, for an unforgettable Bird Trip.

such as flooded island forests. For birdwatching in Anavihanas and around,
