To go Birdwatching tour in the Ariau River region, is an excellent opportunity
to watch birds in the flooded forest. The Iranduba region offers opportunity
for a unforgettable Birding tour on the Ariau River. Iranduba is a city
in the state of Amazonas, Brazil. There is more than 300 species of birds
already have been catalogued in this region. Iranduba is a region that in
the months of June to August is formed the igapos (flooded forest), attractive
habitats for the birds, for their potential as feeding areas. These environments
constitute good areas for birding in Ariau River region. It will be an unforgettable
Bird Trip. We will leave from Manaus by road and our transfer will be done
combining a transfer by ferry-boat Manaus to the village of Cacau-Pirera,
sailing on the Negro river. From Cacau-Pirera we will follow the paved road
until Pousada Amazonia, a comfortable Lodge, beside the Rio Ariau, which

Tour Itinerary
Day 1.
We will go birdwatching on the Ariau River, early in the morning and afternoon,
on the river, lakes and streams sailing by motor canoe around Pousada Amazonia.
In this region we can to see birds that occur in both the rivers (Negro
and Solimões), such as: Zimmer's Woodcreeper (Dendroplex kienerii),
White-bellied Spinetail (Synallaxis propingua), Azure Gallinule (Porphyrio
flavirostris), Cream-Colored Woodpecker (Celeus flavus), Red and White Spinetail
(Certhiaxis mustelina).
Day 2.
We start early, at 5:00 a.m. bringing our snack and we will go to watching
birds far from the Pousada, along Lago do Limão lake, by streams
and flooded florest looking for Amazonian Black-Tyrant (Knipolegus poecilocercus),
Ocellated Woodcreeper (Xyphorhynchus ocelatus), Yellow-Browed Tody-Flycatcher
(Todirostrum Chrysocrotaphum), Slender-Billed Kite (Rosthramus hamatus),
Hoatzin (Opisthocomus hoazin), Hooder Tanager (Nemosia pileata), Red-Capped
Cardinal (Paroaria gularis), Red-Breasted Blackbird (Leistes militaris).
We can perform observation during the night (Nightbirding) just to focus
night birds such as Great Potoo (Nyctibius grandis), Ladder-tailed Nightjar
(Hydropsalis climacocerca), Boat-billed Heron (Cochlearius cochlearius)
and alligators at the edges of the river, an exciting experience in bird
watching and about wild fauna.
Day 3.
Again, we will begin early at 5:00 a.m. bringing our snack, sailing by driver
canoe and canoeing at lago Grande lake, far from Pousada Amazonia and near
the Amazon river, where will can to see specialists of white water such
as: Toui Parakeet, .festive Parrot, Red-and-white Spinetail, Rusty-backed
Spinetailand the beautiful Mascked Crimson Tanager (Ramphocelus nigrogularis)Thrush-like
Wren, Yellow-chinned Spinetail, Caped Heron (Pilherodius pileatus), the
rare Agami Heron (Agamia agami) and the screaming Horned Screamer (Anhima
cornuta) and many other birds. Our Birding tour end at 12:00 and then we
go back to Manaus at 2:00 pm.

General conditions for the Tour
All participants must prepare themselves reading detailed the general conditions for the tour, Diary itinerary and other information about the Birdtour requested.
Registration: For register yourself, please request include your name in the list and confirm your participation. Price subject to change because of change in the dollar.
Group Size: The Group Size is limited from 04 to 10 participants, dislocating by car in Manaus, after crossing Negro river following by car until our base, Inn Pousada Amazonia, around 1 and half hours dislocating.
Upon Request: For tailor-made itineraries into the Tour in/out these months, logistical support, consult us.
Included:
Tour start and end in Manaus, transfer Hotel/Tour and come back to Hotel
or airport, accommodation, birdguide services, and all regular meals,
03 overnights at Jungle Lodge with air on double occupancy,
full board, outings as described. Arrangements may be made to accommodate
on apartments singles the customers that wish.
Not Included:
Airfare, overnight in Manaus, beverages, medical costs or hospitalization,
insurance, personal expenses as laundry and phone calls.
Payments: The prices are given in Brazilian Real. It will
be used the exchange rate (US Dollars) of the payment day. We do not accept
credit card or bank check. Special cases will be examined carefully and
arrangements may be made to facilitate participation in the tour. The prices
are subject to the change and can to vary according the number of participant.

Health conditions of participants. All participants must be in well health conditions and they must see their doctors before take any birdtour.
Smoking persons. There are non-smoking persons between other customers. If you smoke, please be sensible to them, smoking in reserved areas for smoking persons.
Walking in the forest. For to walk in the forest we recommend using rubber boots or other appropriate footwear.
