Naturalistic Tour
1st. Day
We will leave of Manaus at 8 o'clock (AM) in good and paved highway by BR-174 until Presidente Figueiredo city, about one hour and forty minutes. Arriving there we will be put up in a comfortable and simple inn. At 10:00h o'clock, we will make a brief city tour in the city and we will go until the Municipal Park of the Orchids. In the way our guide will explain about the local fauna, we will observe vestiges and footprints of wild animals. The Guide will inform you on the importance of the Park for the local fauna and the purpose of its existence. You will see in loco the vegetable formations that are typical of Amazônia: terra firm, campinarana and campina forest (white sand soil) and its characteristics, as well as he will notice the transition stage and the characteristic flora of each formation. You will can watch epiphyte (orchids and bromeliaceous), birds and insects.
12:00h lunch.
At 14:30h o'clock (PM), we will make trail in the forest, walking in the terra firm forest and we will go to the one largest cave of Presidente Figueiredo (Maroaga cave). Your Guide will make brief explanation about the geologic formation of the cave and about its specific fauna such as: insects, bats, fish and their associated fauna, as Guianan Cock-of-the-rock, behavior, breeding and nests of the species. Then we will go until the Judéia grotto.
17:00h, return.
19:00h dinner and free night.
2nd. Day
7:00h (AM) coffee in the morning.
At 8:30h o'clock, we will visit the Cachoeira Porteira, a farm where is possible to observe streamlet formed in a rock fissure formed by the movement of tectonic plates, and other interesting aspects of the Amazonian geology. Its Guide will give brief explanation about the processes of geologic formation of the area, about the existence of a lot of waterfalls, on the fossils, visualization of fractures and of fissures in the rocks. In this farm you will be free to take advantage of a good waterfall bathing and swimming.
12:00h lunch.
14:00h (PM), We wiil go canoeing (driver canoe) on the Urubu river, located on the km 99 BR-174 road. After, we are going walking on the trail until the Moon's Waterfall (Cachoeira da Lua). Your guide to explain about the characteristics of the aquatic and terrestrial fauna of the area. To watch orchids and bromeliaceous, footprints of wild animals, birds and insects. In that course, to want you can fish and to take bathing in the urubu river and in the Moon's waterfall. To fish the customer it should take its fishing equipment.
17:00h, return.
19:00h dinner and free night.
3rd. Day
7:00h (AM) coffee in the morning.
8:30h, we will visit the Iracema Falls Farm. In that place you will learn more about the geologic Amazonian formation registered there in the features of the grottos and caves existent and you will know the grotto of the Guianan-Cock-of-the-Rock, the foremost and the most handsome bird from Presidente Figueiredo and of the Brazil.
12:00h lunch.
