Come
with us on a Birding tour North of Manaus in Presidente Figueiredo - it
is a fantastic and unique experience. Presidente Figueiredo is situated
107 km from the Amazon capital, Manaus (Amazonas, Brazil), on the edge of
Highway BR-174, which integrates the Amazon to the Caribbean and North America,
with more than 300 species of wild birds catalogued. We depart from Manaus
on BR-174 highway, well-paved to the town of Presidente Figueiredo. Arriving
there, we settle in a simple and comfortable lodge. This itinerary we are
offering is a fascinating bird trip in the Terra Firme Forest! We will go
birdwatching in Presidente Figueiredo, early in the morning and afternoon.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1.
We depart
from Manaus at 5:00 am in the morning to President Figueiredo. Arriving
in town, we will go directly to Parque das Orquídeas, a Municipal
Park, looking for birds in the Campina Forest (white soil sand). Our Birding
trip includes Rufous-crowned Elaenia (Elaenia ruficeps), Thrush-like Mouner
(Schiffornis turdina), Pale-bellied Mourner (Rhytipterna immunda), Black
Manakin (Xenopipo atronitens), Blue-backed Tanager (Cyanicterus cyanicterus),
Bronzy Jacamar (Galbula leucogastra) all they, Campinas specialists, and
with luck we can see the rare Pelzeln's Tody-Tyrant (Hemitriccus inornatus).
At afternoon we go looking for Guianan Cock of-the-Rock around maroaga Cave
area, Campinarana and Terra Firme Forest.
Day 2.
We'll take the breakfast at 5:00 am and depart for birding trails in the
Cave Maroaga: Crowned Black Manakin, Blue-and-yellow Macaw, Black Numbird,
Red-billed Woodcreeper, Chestnut-Rumped Woodcreeper, Northern Slaty-Antshrike,
Rufous-throated Antbird, Double-banded Pygmy-Tyrant, White-Ringed Flycatcher,
Great Jacamar (Jacamerops aurea), Warbling Antbird (Hypocnemis cantator),
Golden-winged Parakeet and many others. At afternoon, we go looking for
birds in the flooded area at center of the city, where we can see Point-tailed
Palmcreeper, Red-Belied Macaw, Scarlet Macaw, Little Chachalaca, Orange
winged Parrot, Green Aracari, Black-necked Aracari and many others birds.
Day 3.
We'll take the breakfast at 5:00 am and depart, watching birds along
Urubui Road: Possible species will be: Red-lored Parrot (Amazona autumnalis),
Sapphire-Rumped Parrotlet (Touit Purpurata), Red-Fan Parrot (Deropityus
accipitrinus), Black-headed Antbird (Percnostola rufifrons), Red-throated
Caracara, Yellow-Tufted Woodpecker, Crimsom-Crested and Red-Necked Woodpecker,
Yellow-throated Flycatcher, Barn Owl, we will watch birds on the Ramal
da Neta, searching for Pavonine Quetzal (Pharomacrus pavoninus), Neotropical
River Warbler and with luck we will see Crimson Topaz (Topaza pela).
Still in the morning we will to Reserva da Onça, a particular
Reserve looking for Capuchingbird. Our Birding tour ends at 14:00 pm
when we go to come back to Manaus, birding on the way.
If our bird trip is scheduled between July and September, we have the possibility to go birdwatching in a full day on the tower, 45m high - a fantastic view of the wild life from canopy on the tower. During three full days we will be visiting terra firme forest areas and campinas forest, that offers great opportunities for a good Bird watching trip experience.

Registration: For register yourself, please request include your name in the list and confirm your participation. Price subject to change because of change in the dollar.
Group Size: The Group Size is limited from 02 to 10 participants, dislocating by car in paved road, sleeping in Inn, conditioned air and TV, on double ocupation.
Upon Request: For tailor-made itineraries into the Tour in/out these months, logistical support, consult us.
Included: Tour start and end in Manaus, transfer Hotel/Tour and come back to Hotel or airport, accommodation, birdguide services, and all regular meals, 02 overnights at Inn with air on double occupancy, full board, outings as described. Arrangements may be made to accommodate on apartments singles the customers that wish.
Not Included:
Airfare, overnight in Manaus, beverages, medical costs or hospitalization,
insurance, personal expenses as laundry and phone calls.
Payments: The prices are given in Brazilian Real. It will
be used the exchange rate (US Dollars) of the payment day. We do not accept
credit card or bank check. Special cases will be examined carefully and
arrangements may be made to facilitate participation in the tour. The prices
are subject to the change and can to vary according the number of participant.

Health conditions of participants. All participants must be in well health conditions and they must see their doctors before take any birdtour.
Smoking persons. There are non-smoking persons between other customers. If you smoke, please be sensible to them, smoking in reserved areas for smoking persons.
Walking in the forest. For to walk in the forest we recommend using rubber boots or other appropriate footwear.
Others: Everyone should bring sunscreen, cap or hat, raincoat and insect repellent
