In our Birding at Presidente Figueiredo Town, in Brazil, we will leave early, at 5:30 AM going to the in Adolpho Ducke Botanical Garden. It went created on October 24, 2000, and is located on the edge of Biological Reserve that has the same name. It has 5 square kilometers of area, distributed over a range of 500 meters wide by 6 km in length along the southern border and 4 km along the western edge of the Reserve. The Musa tower allows a privileged view above the treetops. It has firm, stable, wide and safe structure, made in galvanized steel with 42 meters high. At Musa Tower we can to watch birds such as: Lesser Yellow-headed Vulture, Greater Yellow-headed Vulture, King Vulture, Gray-headed Kite, Little Chachalaca, Double-toothed Kite, Scarlet Macaw, Blue-and-yellow Macaw, Green-rumpedParrotlet, Red Fan Parrot, Black-tailed Trogon, Black-fronted Nunbird, Ringed Woodpecker, Cream-colored Woodpecker, Striped Woodcreeper, Pompadour Cotinga, Spangled Cotinga, Plum-throated Cotinga, Dull-capped Attila and others. After Musa Tower we go watching birds at “Ramal do Pau Rosa” (Pau Rosa Road) also at Manaus up to lunch. Following we go to Presidente Figueiredo Town.

Our Birdwatching at Presidente Figueiredo will be made on the first day, in the morning: (1) Musa Tower and (2) Ramal do Pau Rosa. Following, we will stop to lunch and to go to the Presidente Figueiredo. At afternoon we will watch birds at Ramal do Urubui (Urubuí road). On the Second day, early morning before Breakfast: (1) ARIE das AVES is a flooded area, a small swamp at center of the town, and (2) Parque das Orquídeas (Orchids Park); At afternoon, we go to the (3) Mari-Mari Reserve. On Third day, early morning again: (1) ARIE das Aves and (2) Onça Privative Reserve finishing the morning. In our Birdwatching at Presidente Figueiredo, our wake up will be at 5:00 am, breakfast will be at 7:00 am at Inn, because earling we go watching birds around of Inn. Our outputs will be at 7:30am in the morning, stopping at noon to lunch. We go back to field at 2:30 pm, stopping our birding trip at 6 pm. We will have Dinner at 7:00 pm and after, we go do checklist, daily.

In one of the reserves that we go visiting at the end of the trail, there is the campina forest, where we will look for birds specialize in this environment where the soil is formed of white sand, looking for Rufous-crowned Elaenia, Thrush-like Mouner, Pale-bellied Mourner, Black Manakin, Blue-backed Tanager, Bronzy Jacamar, Northern Slaty-Antshrike. All of them are Campina’s specialists, and with luck we can see the rare Pelzeln’s Tody-Tyrant, rediscovered in 1992.
All meals will be made in restaurants. On the last day, we go doing check out at Inn at noon, put our bags on the car and we will go to lunch. At 2:30 pm we will watch birds on the roadside and forest edge.
